Mixed media artist based in Tokyo Japan
Born and raised in the suburbs of the city of Buenos Aires (Argentina), from a young age, 39Universe was surrounded by contrasts, "La Matanza" district is in a way an iconic place, people from the city centre wouldn’t dare to go there. A sense of wilderness that is never forgotten. 39u was fascinated by colors, and by painting. A hyper-realist painter mother showed 39u from an early age the use of color and how to paint.
Further in life, learning languages, a need to experience new cultures emerge, and 39u travels the world.
Eventually to live in Tokyo Japan.
The colorful neon lights, 90s and 00s Harajuku street fashion, Yuru-Kyara, vintage anime and the graphic universe of Tokyo, were imprinted on 39u's mind.
Never forgetting the hyper-realism, the luscious nature of Latin America, and the almost primal need of mixing colors, and creating art.

生まれ育った39Universeは、
幼い頃からコントラストに
囲まれていた。
"La Matanza"地区は、ある意味で
象徴的な場所であり、
市の中心部の人々はあえてそこに
行こうとはしない。
忘れることのできない自由な感覚。
39uは色、そしてアートに
魅せられる日々を過ごした。
ハイパーリアリスト画家である母は、
幼い頃から39uに色の使い方や絵の
描き方を教えていた。
１０代の頃に他の言語を学び、
新しい文化を体験する必要性も
芽生え、39uは世界中を
旅することを決心した。
最終的には東京に住むことを決断。
ハイパーリアリズム、ラテンアメリカ
の甘美な自然、そして色を混ぜて
アートを作るという原始的な欲求も
忘れことなく、
東京のカラフルな
ネオン、90年代、00年代の原宿の
ストリートファッション、
ゆるキャラ、ヴィンテージアニメ、
そして東京のグラフィックの
世界は、
39uの心に刻み込まれていった。

In Japanese the number 3 is pronounced "san" and number 9 is "kyu". The english words "Thank You" are often pronounced as "san-kyu" in Japan.
39Universe is "Thank You Universe".
By being thankful to our Universe we nurture our existence
and art helps us in doing so.
